Podemos observar un incremento en el uso y desarrollo de "Wearables", que también se ha visto favorecido por el desarrollo de telas conductivas, los avances en el internet de las cosas y la inteligencia artificial. Pero estos dispositivos necesitan energía para funcionar. También debería preocuparnos el 5G, que está gastando mucha más batería de nuestros dispositivos en comparación con el 4G y que el 6G podría incluso gastar más que el 5G.
Por otra parte, las energías limpias, en especial la solar y la eólica, están creciendo rápidamente. Lo que resulta increíble, pues nuestro consumo energético también crece a pasos agigantados. Pero algo que tienen las energías limpias es que son mejores trabajando en equipo, de esta forma pueden sustituirse o complementarse entre ellas, por ejemplo si es que el viento no está soplando con suficiente fuerza.

Energy Skins is an SPECULATIVE clothing collection that harvest biomechanical energy from our everday movement and biochemical energy from our own sweat. By using flexible piezoelectric harvesters that generate energy when they´re deformed, in this case by moving our articulations or even just when they´re under preassure by carrying a back pack, for example. They also integrate flexible chemioelectric harvesters that enables the clothing to convert the minerals carried by our sweat into electrical energy. And finally this clothes will use air charging technology, so they can transfer energy to any near device. Only one piece of the collection will be able to harvest at least 1kh a week, even when the user has low physical activity.
Podemos pensar en esta tecnología como una energía alternativa, y desde luego secundaria, que en primer instancia quizás sería utilizada por atletas, que son los mayores usuarios de "wearables" y que no siempre cuentan con una fuente de energía para recargar sus dispositivos. Pero puede que en un futuro se pueda utilizar incluso para energizar conciertos, eventos deportivos o incluso edificios con mucha capacidad, al grado de que la energía se puede volver incluso un tipo de cambio, que se puede usar para pagar o incluso donar.
We can think on this technology as an alternative and secondary energy, which will be used at first, by athelts, that are the bigger market for wearables and that not always have a source of energynear to cherge their devices. But maybe one day we can use this to power concerts, sports events or even buildings with high volumes of people, we can even think on energy as a new currency that can be used to pay or even donate.
